IRCC intends to migrate Express Entry clients to its consolidated online account and make Express Entry an early focus of its new back-end case-management platform. Planned capabilities include a new expression-of-interest system, centralized data, greater automation of straightforward cases, advanced analytics and integrated AI support for decision-makers.
Why it matters: This is a processing-system redesign, not simply a new interface. Historical information from temporary and permanent applications may become easier to compare automatically.
Affected: Express Entry candidates and representatives maintaining profiles over extended periods.
Practice implications: Export or screenshot every profile version and CRS calculation. Before updating or migrating a profile, reconcile employment, education, addresses, travel, family composition and prior refusals against all previous applications. This is a practical inference from IRCC's stated move toward centralized data and real-time risk triage.
