BC's July 23 draw invited 60 candidates under the Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative at a score of 50. The July 16 high-economic-impact selections invited 223 candidates meeting both the $58 hourly and $115,000 annual wage thresholds, plus 346 candidates with scores of at least 132. The general registration pool contained 8,683 profiles as of July 7.
Why it matters: The score of 50 does not indicate that BC PNP has become broadly accessible at low scores. It relates to a narrowly defined temporary health-support initiative.
Affected: BC workers, employers and candidates comparing their scores with recent invitations.
Practice implications: Identify whether the candidate fits Care, Build, Innovate or the temporary rural-health initiative before evaluating score competitiveness. For wage-based selection, verify both hourly and annual compensation. Rural-health registrations close August 31, 2026, and eligibility depends on the participating employer, occupation and location—not score alone.
